What is Benchmarking?
Benchmarking, in the context of computers, means measuring performance using a standardized test. It’s sort of like an exam for your computer. A benchmark (or benchmark test) is a standardized test designed to measure the performance of a device.
In Dacris Benchmarks, we have a benchmark for each hardware component of most PCs. There is a benchmark for the processor (CPU), memory, hard drive, and video card. We have two benchmarks for the video card – one for measuring 2D rendering performance (such as when editing videos), and one for measuring 3D rendering performance (such as when playing 3D games).
Testing Performance
To test the performance of all components inside your PC, go to the menu and select File – Benchmarks – Run All.
